Thank you for visiting my constituent website. My name is Stephen R. Canessa, and I serve as State Representative for the 12th Bristol District of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The 12th Bristol District consists of precincts in the following communities: Freetown, Lakeville, Middleboro, New Bedford and Taunton.

I currently serve on the Joint Committee on Transportation, the Joint Committee on Education and the Joint Committee on Mental Health and Substance Abuse.  I believe that each committee will be faced with many challenging issues and I am eager to work together with my colleagues to effectively address these needs.

It is a tremendous honor to serve the people of Freetown, Lakeville, Middleboro, New Bedford and Taunton. I look forward to continue working hard on the many important issues that have a direct impact on my constituents in the 12th Bristol District as well as constituents within all of Southeastern Massachusetts and the entire Commonwealth.
